EMCORE’s line Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) now includes the versatile, single enclosure INS systems of the former KVH inertial navigation systems product family which feature advanced sensor fusion to deliver ultra-reliable, highly accurate navigation and control to a wide variety of platforms including manned, unmanned, and autonomous systems. Combined with our Systron Donner Quartz MEMS GPS/INS which delivers unprecedented performance in its class, EMCORE’s INS are designed for a broad range of commercial and defense navigation applications.

EMCORE’s FOG and MEMS INS are setting the new benchmark for accurate and economical guidance, navigation and control in a wide variety of tactical-grade applications.

GEO FOG 3 D 1Rugged, High-accuracy INS and AHRS with Exclusive PIC technology and Embedded GNSS

With a data rate 10x faster than competing systems, EMCORE’s advanced GEO-FOG 3D inertial navigation system (INS) includes three EMCORE ultra-reliable PIC enhanced gyroscopes integrated with three low-noise, high-grade 16g accelerometers, three axes of magnetometers, a pressure sensor, and the option of either a single or dual antenna GNSS receiver. With advanced sensor fusion and PIC technology, the GEO-FOG 3D INS delivers reliable, precise navigation and control to a wide variety of aerial, ground, marine, and subsurface applications and platforms.

Highlights

  • Groundbreaking sensor fusion algorithm extracts more data than typical Kalman filters.
  • Continuously running north-seeking gyrocompass provides accurate heading.

GEO FOG 3 Dual

Rugged, High-accuracy INS and AHRS with Exclusive PIC technology and Embedded GNSS

EMCORE’s benchmark fiber optic gyro (FOG)-based P-1750 inertial measurement unit (IMU) is the core processor of the robust GEO-FOG 3D Dual INS. EMCORE’s exclusive photonic integrated chip (PIC) technology delivers improved reliability and repeatability. The precision non-ITAR GEO-FOG 3D Dual features two GNSS antennas on a fixed PTK baseline to offer increased heading, pitch, and roll accuracy for static and dynamic applications where a single antenna system can be problematic. This dual antenna INS is the best choice for systems requiring heading at start-up or in low dynamic conditions.

Highlights

  • Data rate 10x faster than other available systems
  • Cutting-edge sensor fusion for dependable, precise navigation in a full array of applications and conditions
  • Six degrees of freedom (DoF) IMU with integrated gyros and accelerometers

SDN500 Miniature MEMS Integrated GPS/INS Tactical System

Our most advanced GPS/INS Tactical Grade System. The compact SDN500 combines latest generation quartz gyros, quartz accelerometers, high-speed signal processing and a 48-channel Coarse/Acquisition (C/A) Code GPS receiver into a powerful, tightly coupled Guidance and Navigation System. There is also an option to utilize a Selective Availability Anti-spoofing Module (SAASM) GPS receiver. The versatile tactical grade system delivers a reliable 3.9-meter Spherical Error Probable (SEP) GPS-aided accuracy. Our proprietary Quartz MEMS Inertial Sensors maintain position and attitude accuracy in the event of loss of GPS tracking. The low power SDN500 is designed for integrator and OEM use in the latest demanding smaller, more scalable system applications. The SDN500 is an ideal solution for critical applications in such areas as geo-surveying, unmanned air and ground vehicles, precision targeting and positioning, and enables excellent system solutions in demanding commercial applications.
