Insights thermal imaging sights are restricted for sale to a handful of nations including the Australia and New Zealand Defence Force and Police.

Infrared Target Pointers, Illuminators and Aiming Lights

• Insight Technology has a wide range of ITPIALs enabling precise weapon aiming, target acquisition, and target / area illumination in low-light conditions or complete darkness.
• The work horse of the range, the AN/PEQ 2A is in service with numerous police and military forces around the world. The PEQ 2A provides proven and cost effective ITPIAL capability and is currently in service with US and Allied forces including Australia and NZ.
• Insights new range of Advanced Infrared Target Pointers, Illuminators and Aiming Lights (ATPIAL) and the Mini Integrated Pointer Illuminator Module (MIPIM) greatly reduce the size and weight burden on the weapon rail, providing greater capability with a smaller rail footprint.
• The LA5 PEQ ATPIAL (1/3 of the size of the PEQ 2A) is a weapon mounted multifunction laser device with integrated visible and infrared aiming lasers as well as a variable-focus infrared illuminator. The LA5 PEQ ATPIAL is US DoD type classified as the AN/PEQ 15.
• The AN/PEQ 16A MIPIM is similar in size to the LA5 PEQ ATPIAL but has the additional capability of a high intensity, variable-focus, white light illuminator. Combining a white light illuminator into the device removes the need for a separate white light illuminator further reducing the rail footprint while maintaining maximum capability.

AN/PAS-24A, The Integrated Weapon Night Sight – Image Intensified (IWNS-I2)

• IWNS-I2 is a weapon mounted, night vision aiming system primarily intended to be used in line with an optical sight.
• Can also be used as a handheld device.
• Allows for observation and target identification under adverse conditions including light rain, smoke, light snow, and low light to total darkness.

AN/PSQ-23, Small Tactical Optical Rifle Mount (STORM)

• STORM is a battery operated Laser Range Finder (LRF) with integrated multifunction lasers and a Digital Magnetic Compass (DMC).
• The STORM’s LRF and DMC may be used in combination to obtain accurate positional information for targeting purposes and other tactical applications.
• LRF max range 10km, min range 20m
• The integrated lasers provide for precise weapon aiming, target acquisition, and target/area illumination under any lighting condition.
