MILITARY VEHICLE SYSTEMS
This range of NATO codified and standard shock and anti-vibration
mounts has been utilised on Military vehicles currently under deployment
in the roughest terrains throughout the world.
'J' TYPE
The ‘J’ mount is designed to yield at a predetermined
load in any direction under shock. It gives no vibration isolation
and is suitable for shock protection. This mount enables the
design of a vehicle 'crumple zone' for collision force reduction
and absorption of shock from mines, thus reducing crew injuries.
Mass range: 2.0 - 180 kg |

|
'XM' MOUNTS
The ‘XM’ mount is damped with knitted mesh cushions.
This allows it to be used in areas where high or low temperatures
and extreme environmental conditions are of a concern, and
the standard Type ‘X’ is not suitable. The ‘XM’
mount could be used for seating frame and or compartment section
shock mounts. This mount will reduce a 230g blast acceleration
down to as little as 15g greatly reducing crew injuries. Secondary
use could be for mounting between the vehicle and external
blast plates. Caparo Engineering Limited holds the Patent
for this design of mount.
Mass Range: 9.0 - 550 kg |

CONE MOUNTS
The Cone Mount series consist of a natural rubber resilient
element set between two metal cones. Top and bottom washers
are supplied to prevent excessive deflections. Can be used
to mount engines, and associated equipment. The mounts can
also be used in static applications to mount machinery. The
mounts provide a stable mounting method, reducing the tendency
for mounted items to tilt
Mass Range: 1.0 – 2,500 kg |
|

CUP MOUNTS
The cup mount series consist of elastic elements between
a base pedestal and an outer cup. The outer cup provides protection
for the rubber from oil, grease, petrol, diesel, and other
contaminants. Sizes 5, 6 and 7 are captive designs, making
them particular suitable for applications where shock or overloads
may be present, for example mobile and marine applications.
Mass Range: 20 kg - 800 kg |

KNITTED AND FORMED MESH
Due to its excellent heat and corrosion resistant properties,
knitted stainless steel mesh has a wide range of military
and industrial uses when formed into pads, washers and sleeves.
Applications include aerospace, filtration, marine, instrumentation
and communications.
Mass range: Dependant upon design and shape factor |

SERIES 7002
Eleven versions with a natural frequency of 7 - 11 Hz. Applications
include Electronic mounting trays and sensitive equipment
aboard military vehicles to reduce shock and vibration. This
increases survivability when navigating through rough terrain.
An all metal construction ensures operation at extreme temperatures.
Mass range: 0.7 - 110 kg |
|
 |
|
SERIES 7003
Special mount with two versions: one for use in compression
and one for use in tension. Applications include vibration
and shock isolation for ARINC mounting tray systems, aerospace,
marine, industrial and also mobile military and civil roles.
Mass range 0.28 - 11.5 kg |
|

TW MOUNTS
The TW series of mounts consist of two rubber parts: one
‘washer’ and one ‘washer/bush’. The
‘washer/bush’ incorporates a metal bush, which
acts as a guide for a fixing screw. It can be installed by
two methods (see Datasheet) and various plate thicknesses
can be accommodated.
Mass Range: 50 kg - 500 kg |
